The World's Thinnest Watch is in the Works

• Geneva Watch Days kicked off earlier this week in Switzerland, marking the fourth year since six Founding Members – Breitling, Bvlgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H. Moser & Cie. and MB&F – launched the event in 2020. Over 100 exceptional timepieces from 52 participating brands will be featured at this free show, which will run until September 2nd. • The race to create the thinnest mechanical watch just got even more interesting at Geneva Watch Days. The Konstantin Chaykin ThinKing Prototype is a pre-production piece measuring only 1.65mm thick – thinner than the previous front-runner (the Octo Finissimo Ultra – 1.70mm thick) by .05mm. The watch is still early in pre-production, so many details are yet to be revealed – more to come as the watch approaches its official launch date. (Hodinkee)
